Pre-Poo Explained

Pre-Poo Explained

Shampoo in the black hair world is often shortened to β€˜poo’, so you’ll often hear the terms no-poo, low-poo and pre-poo.

A pre-poo is a treatment applied to hair before shampooing to prevent the shampoo from stripping your hair of its natural oils and moisture. Oils, such as coconut oil are often used for pre-pooing, though some people prefer to use deep conditioners.

You can leave the pre-poo in your hair for 15-30 minutes whilst going about your day, it’ll help detangle your locks and minimise breakage.

Pre-pooing can help improve the texture and sheen of your hair by restoring moisture and restorative oils whilst protecting hair follicles.

So, consider making pre-poo part of your hair care routine, and share your experience in the comments below πŸ™ŒπŸΎ
