How good are wigs as a protective style?

I think wigs are a pretty good protective style as you can leave your hair in braids for a good amount of time. However, for some people, because they do not remove the wig properly, their hair suffers consequently. Just as with any other hairstyle, make sure to take care of your hair underneath and be gentle.
