Does silk press contain chemicals?

I’ve been thinking about getting a silk press, but I’m a bit cautious about chemicals. I’m trying to keep my hair as natural and healthy as possible. Does a silk press involve any chemical treatments, or is it just heat?

No, a silk press doesn’t use chemicals. It’s just a wash, blow-dry and straightening using heat and the right products. That said, too much heat can still cause damage, so it’s best not to do it too often and always use a heat protectant.
