Hey! How long do you ladies leave your braids in for? Mine still look good but don’t want to leave in for too long as I heard it can cause breakage? 🤔

Hey, I usually keep mine in between 4-6 weeks, I know some say up to 8 weeks is ok too, but no longer. I'd say listen to your scalp, even if your hair is looking good, keeping your braids in for too long is not a good idea. The reason being is that you don't get a chance to get rid of the hair that is naturally shedding so it keeps accumulating which can add extra stress on your hair due to the added weight. So when your scalp starts getting too itchy or feels heavy, then it's had enough and your braids need to come out. Hope that helps 😊
