How often is it safe to do a silk press on natural hair?

I love the sleek look of a silk press, but I don’t want to risk heat damage or losing my curl pattern. I’m trying to figure out how often it’s actually safe to get one done while still keeping my natural hair healthy. What’s a realistic and safe schedule?

It’s best to keep silk presses occasional, about every 3–4 months. Doing it too often can lead to heat damage. It's really important to use a good heat protectant and make sure your hair is healthy and well-moisturised beforehand.
