How often should I wash my hair while wearing braids?

I currently have braids in and I’m not sure how often I should be washing my hair. I 've heard some people say you don't really have to wash it much, but others say it is definitely important to wash them. What’s the right routine?

Every 2–3 weeks is generally a good time frame. But it does depend on your scalp and lifestyle so listen to your scalp. If you feel like your scalp gets buildup and oilier quicke, then wash it more frequently. The key is to keep your scalp clean and avoid itchiness and build-up.
