What Is A Half Wig?

A half wig is a wig that only covers the back portion of your head. It starts at the crown and extends over the sides and back, while the front of your natural hair remains visible. This allows your natural hairline to frame your face, giving the overall style a more natural and seamless look.

How To Install A Half Wig

Half wigs are easy to install without the help of a professional. They typically feature a flexi comb at the top and either a flexi comb or a drawstring at the bottom, meaning you don’t need glue or sewing to keep them in place.

Step by Step guide:

  1. Using a comb, create a parting from ear to ear around 1-2 inches from your hairline. Pull the back section into a ponytail.
  2. Place the flexi comb on the top of your head where you created your parting and slide it downwards so it's flat and firm against your scalp.
  3. To ensure your wig is extra secure, pull the drawstring on the bottom of the wig tight or slide the bottom flexi comb up from the nape of your neck. If your wig has the flexi comb make sure it is flat and firm against your scalp.
  4. Blend your natural hair over the wig hair.
